Located in the province of Brindisi, Ostuni has been dubbed the White City for its typical low limestone houses dotted along the narrow streets of its centre. The alleys and numerous steps in the old part of the city are steeped in historic charm and numerous small shops and clubs bring Ostuni to life at night and in the summer. Its countryside houses a range of farmhouses, many of which were abandoned in the late 19th century. Thanks to restoration and investment projects, many of these farmhouses have now been restored and transformed into luxury hotels.
